April In Paris

I haven't bought cotton fabric in ages but I think I am going to pick up some of these prints.  Aren't they grand?  Now to think what I might make?   I'd like something easy and simple.  Tissue holders?  Place mats?   Such lovely fabric!  Pin cushions are always quite useful too but the pattern would need to be small.  If it was chiffon or silk, the first pattern would make such a beautiful scarf.  I think I'm most drawn to the first fabric.   A small change bag/credit card holder might be nice too.  I have a small quilted pouch that I use all the time.

Anyone have any interesting retro ideas?

This fabric is by Timeless Treasures in case anyone else is interested in scoping it out.  I think the newsprint fabric would also make an excellent address book cover or something of this nature.  I once did book covers but I made them a tad to small so rather than adjusting the cover I cut down the books <smile>.

Here's another cute retro Paris fabric, quite fun!

  1. Wow, they are so pretty! I think number 1 and 3 would make a great pillows. Also number 1 would be great for lingerie/stockings bags. And the number 2 is, in my opinion, definitely bound to be a calendar/diary/annything cover :)

  2. Oooohh, these fabrics are all so delightfully lovely! I think they'd all make for wonderful scarves, headbands, book bags, drawer sachets, pillow cases - there isn't too many things they wouldn't be stunning on/as! :)
