I thought the Adrian items went rather cheaply. I hope one day soon to own a garment by Adrian.
Adrian gown sold for $688
Adrian Suit $687
Christian Dior Suit 1950, totally fabulous!!! $5,500 Auction estimate $400-$600 yea right a little on the low side lol.
Another Dior 1950 Suit sold for $5,500 these are going for as much as the gowns. Quite shocked by the price. Wonder if they are going to museums?
Dior 1950 $5,500 sale. $5,500 must have been the magic price on these Diors. Holy moley! I need to go back in time and grab a bunch of these.
You can see the results on the Leslie Hindman website.
Wow! Those are some incredible pieces!!! People knew how to design then for sure! xox
ReplyDelete#3 and the last suit are my faves! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if those Dior suits are from the time that Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent (YSL) was heading the house. If so, that would explain the high price for sure!
ReplyDeleteRegardless they are beautiful.
Isn't it amazing how modern they look? I'm sure they will still look trendy in 100 years. I love the wool twist version. I wish I could down down to the local department store and pick one up:)
DeleteWow, I'm really surprised by how much they low-balled the predicted selling price of that Dior suit. I would have pegged it in the $2,500 to $3,500 range, and am not honestly all that surprised by what any of them ended up going for.
ReplyDeleteI really hope you're able to own one of Adrian's timelessly gorgeous creations. I know anything from that brand will look so elegantly marvelous on you.

I really love the cut of the last dress! That neckline is so pretty.
