In the meantime, how about a little vintage trek?

Interesting interview with Ginger Rogers. Her eyes are so sparkling and youthful. The interviewer isn't that great but a interview worth seeing, regardless. It does make me curious about her auto biography. Have any of you read it?
Of course a Rogers and Astair dance, love her dress...
Stars of Tomorrow in 1933... interesting, check out Ginger Rogers
I'm always up for a vintage trek, especially when the spotlight is being shone on someone as marvelous as Ms. Rogers. I haven't read her bio yet, but definitely let you know my thoughts on it if I do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a highly enjoyable Friday night post, sweet Joanna. Hope you have a stellar weekend!

Thank you Jessica
DeleteThank you, Joanna...for spotlighting my favorite dance icon! You know, I love Ginger. Its funny, I was just talking to a cashier in Walgreens who mentioned reading her biography. I tried to find it for Kindle, but couldn't find it. I think I need to make a trip to the library!
ReplyDeleteI really like the "art deco" Ginger when she first started out. I'd like to read her autobiography and get a good feel for her personality. She sure had a full life:)
DeleteLoved watching the Swing Time clip .. the dance together so wonderfully.

I would love to read her autobiography. I will have to look for it.
ReplyDeleteAs a side note, I wanted to tell you that while out thrifting this weekend I found a Lilli Ann wool skirt for $3, its my first and I was so excited when I saw it. I think its probably a 70s but I am still thrilled with it.
Oh so exciting! I hope you post about it. If you go to Vintage Guild website, you can see by what label you have how old it is.
