A Gift From A Friend

Today, I have to go to my children's school for some fun activities and I thought I would wear a wonderfully thoughtful present that I recently received from an extra special friend:)  She was so kind to think of me and thought I would love this skirt, which I very much do:)

Isn't this skirt grand?  The very interesting thing about this skirt is that it has a tie waist band.  There is one band that snaps together then another that crosses over in the back to be tied.  When I first tried on the skirt I couldn't quite figure it out, but now I get it, I think it is very excellent idea!  Now you can get the exact fit of your waist.  I love finding out these little details in garment construction.

This is also a great skirt to pair tights with.  I don't know about you but I love to wear tights and this is now the perfect season to do so.

That's so nice to have friends you are thinking about you with such a present!
I love these wedges, I have the same but the soles are really fragile, I had to change them because they were so thin at heels.
    Gorgeous autumn colors around you!

    1. This is interesting you comment about the thin area at the heels. I will have to keep this in mind. So you had to replace the heels?

  5. Hi Joanna, nice to meet you. Thank you for the blog-comment today.

Your skirt is lovely. I also adore tights so this is my favorite season. I actually feel deprived in Summer 'cause it's too hot to wear them. I see in your profile that you live in (or somewhere near) New York. I live on Long Island and visit the City all the time.

  6. Oooo Joanna darling, you look so very fantastic! I love how you took this skirt, which has something of a summertime vibe to it, and grounded it solely in these now nippy days of November. Beautiful, inspiring styling - the tone on tone patterned tights were an especially great touch (which mirror, in a way, the eye-catching pattern of the skirt itself).

    Tons of hugs,
    ♥ Jessica
